Happy 2nd Birthday Alicia!

Happy Birthday Alicia! Alicia turned 2 on October 12. We celebrated on the 10th with family and a few of her friends. Alicia loved being the center of attention and opening all the presents. She is really into baby dolls and dressing up right now so some of her favorite gifts included a baby stroller, baby doll potty, dress up clothes and of course the actual baby dolls, Ernie dolls and Bert. She gives her dolls regular diaper changes and trips to the potty - never forgetting to tell them that they get candy and that she is proud of them! We also take babies on strolls regularly. I stroll Zachary while she strolls a baby. I don't actually get any exercise at that slow pace... but it keeps everyone happy.

Alicia told me she wanted an "Ernie" cake so we did a Sesame Street themed party. It was a lot of fun. She LOVED the cake and kept wanting to see it as I was decorating it. She kept saying, "You see it! You see it! Ernie cake!" - which means, "May I see it?" She also had a lot of fun eating him up! After we sang "Happy Birthday" to her and she blew out her candles, she requested, "Again?!" So we did it again ; ) When we practiced blowing out candles earlier in the week we always did it several times, so why not at the party??

Trey was in charge of the decorations and activities. He went all out and put together some really cute and creative games like Elmo's World of Coloring, Super Grover's Sidewalk Chalk, Ernie's Rubber Ducky Toss, Big Bird's Balloon Bonanza, Cookie Monster's Table and Oscar's Trashcan. It was a lot of fun!

Although Zachary slept through most of the party, Alicia was sure to include him later!

Happy Birthday, Alicia! I remember when the four of us would go walking and Alicia was just 6 months old. She has changed and grown so much. I love reading about all the things she's into and doing these days. She seems to really take pride in being a big sister to Zachary. You've got two cute kids!
