Zachary at 2 months!

Zachary had his 2 month check-up today. He weighed in at 12 lb. 12 oz (75 percentile) and measured 24 inches long (85 percentile). A big boy! He also had 3 shots : ( He is sleeping now and seems to be recuperating well from that traumatic ordeal.

He is smiling often now and seems to recognize us. Last night he went a record 6 hours between feeds! Hopefully he can keep that up! Usually, however, he still only goes 4-5 hours. During the day it is hard to get him to sleep more than 45 minutes at a time. Usually he will sleep one nap that is longer. His sleep habits remind me of Alicia when she was a baby. He won't sleep well in the swing and he won't suck the paci unless I hold it in his mouth, so I am at a loss on how to get him to sleep longer. He awakes tired and upset, but can't put himself to sleep! So often I end up feeding him early otherwise he falls asleep when I nurse him and won't take a full feeding. Any suggestions from you moms out there?

We went to the pumpkin patch last week. Here's a pic of Big Sister and Baby Brother. Z didn't seem very impressed with the pumpkins, but liked to look at was going on. No sleeping there!
