Alicia's 2 year Update

Alicia also had her doctor appointment today. She weighed in at a whopping 32 lb. and is 36 1/4 inches tall! She went from 75 percentile at 18 months to off the chart in both weight and height. Wow! Talk about a growth spurt! Can you tell that she is a great eater?

Alicia was such a brave girl. We talked about what the nurse and doctor would check, and she cooperated with everything without fussing. Yea! It is so much easier now that she understands what we explain to her! She had a finger prick and 3 shots! She didn't cry with the finger prick, but the shots hurt! : (

As far as what Alicia is like at 2....
She is also always full of energy and ALWAYS talking around the house. We are working on our INSIDE voice. However, she has inherited her vocal ability from Trey and Gramps, so an inside voice doesn't come naturally. She still loves music and can sing along on a lot of songs. She prefers Jars of Clay and Justin Roberts to any type of kid music except the alphabet song. She also plays with dolls a lot. Strolling them, changing diapers, feeding them... And she is very particular... Don't dare put the wrong type of diaper on a doll or try to feed Ernie without the highchair tray!! ; )

She is so sweet to Zachary. Every night when we ask her who she wants to pray for she says Zachary first! She puts blankets on him, shares toys, wants to see him in the crib, hugs and kisses him.... However, there are times she orders me "Zachary - Swing!" or starts whining "Mommy, hold you!" (meaning her of course!)

She is also starting to talk in adorable cute sentences. We see ourselves in her comments. She will say "Wait a minute!" a lot when she is going to get something or has forgotten something. Yesterday is was, "Wait a minute! Mommy kiss!" - that warmed my heart. She will also say "That's awesome!" or "Oh, well!" or "Sooooo tired!" (I think she hears me say that way too much!)

Alicia LOVED the pumpkin patch. She got to visit the pumpkins, go on a hayride, slide, climb a sand mountain and feed the goats. When we were leaving she started hugging all of the pumpkins saying "Bye! Bye!" "See you later!" "Love you so much!" She hugged probably 10 or so pumpkins before I told her she could just wave bye to the rest! Too cute!
