Halloween 2009

We're off to see the Wizard.... Yep, the entire family got in on the fun again this year. Check out the lion roar - he didn't like the costume too much...

Doesn't she make a cute Dorothy?

What a cuddly lion!

We had fun on Halloween going to a carnival at our church and then trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Alicia was a little hesitant to go up to houses with us, but LOVED helping us hand out candy. When trick-or-treaters came to our door she'd say "Trick-or-treat" "Bye! Bye! See you later!" "You going home?" She had so much to say each time the door opened! The next morning the first thing she did was get her pumpkin and exclaim, "Trick-or-treat! I got candy!" She's had way too much sugar the past few days. I think the rest will disappear soon and reappear when we do some serious potty training in the next few months... ; )

Mommy and Daddy worked hard on their costumes, so why did Alicia get all the candy??

Here's our "happy pumpkin" (per Alicia's request). She would have nothing to do with the carving. She wouldn't touch the inside of it and freaked out when a piece about as big as a grain of rice got on her hand. She also wouldn't look at me carving the face. I think she thought I was hurting the pumpkin - she clung to Trey like she was scared. But she likes blowing the candle out and getting me to light it again. So at least we have gotten some entertainment out of it!!
