Hallelujah! He is alive! It was a lot of fun teaching Alicia the Easter story. She has an amazing memory! We have been acting out weekly Bible stories with Alicia and her comprehension of at least the story, if not the spiritual component, is great. We started with Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Alicia loved waving leaves shouting "Hosanna!" In fact, several days later she was helping me make sandwiches and picked up some lettuce, waved it in the air and chanted "Hosanna! Hosanna!" We then talked about the disciples falling asleep in the garden while Jesus prayed. She would tell us "Get up! Get up!" And this is her telling of the Easter story, "Jesus got boo-boos. He died on the cross. Angels came down and move the stone. HE'S ALIVE!" We had one friend tell us that she may know the reason behind Easter better than most Americans that celebrate it. Sad but possibly true.
Here are my sweeties on Easter Day!
Will I ever get a picture of both of them smiling??
