Alicia's drama is always making us laugh. Yesterday she also made a profound quote to us. She stood up in a chair and announced very seriously to her Daddy and me, "I eat a lot of things and play with toys" Why, yes you do! Can't argue with that!
This morning I put on her shoes and "accidentally" velcroed them myself since we were in a hurry and I got in a VERY patronizing voice, "Oh! No, no, no! I'm sorry Mommy. I do it." Shame on Mommy!
She also has a very vivid imagination. Jets and alligators frequently "scare" her. She prefers and can follow stories with a lot of words. Her favorite thing to do now is to pretend that we are our neighbors John, Vandy, Evie and Kipper or our friends Stan, Jenna and Logan. She does this ALL the time. Trey left for work this week and she cries, "I want my Mr. Stan!" During the day she says, "Where is Mr. John? He's at work." She gets upset if I say "Good night Alicia" - "I Logan!" she says adamantly! She definitely uses it for her advantage though. Last week there was a gift wrapped bag upstairs, and she wanted to open it. I told her that it was for the real Logan's birthday. She said "I the real Logan." It goes on and on.... : )
And she still has an eye for pretty things. We went to Babies R Us yesterday and as we strolled passed the infant girls Easter section she exclaimed in amazement, "Look at all those beautiful dresses!"
