Last Day of School

Alicia and Zachary finished school last Tuesday. They both had a wonderful year going to Charleston Baptist Church every Tuesday & Thursday morning. Alicia loves her friends and can tell me all about them. She also lets me know who went in to time out each day! She says that she has never been to time out at school! She has learned her days of the week and months of the year. I bought her a Hello Kitty calendar a couple of months ago and she likes putting a picture or letter to reminder her of special upcoming days. (ex. G for when Grandma is coming) For a while we put a sticker on the calendar every day so that she understood how it worked. She already knew her alphabet & numbers - so the calendar was the big deal this year. The school has an amazing playground of the kids; however, I never saw Alicia on it. She occasionally did play on it (so she says), but she usually stayed in the shade with one of her teachers... That's my girly girl! Doesn't want to take the chance that she will sweat!!

Zachary learned some motions to some songs and had a blast playing. He loved going to school - except when Daddy dropped him off. Daddy always trumps school! But usually he loved his teachers and playmates. He can pronounce most of their names, but I think he only calls a few of them by name. Our neighbor Emily is his favorite friend!

I try so hard getting pictures of them together... Easter, Mother's Day, school.... This is typical!! Guess I need to hire a professional!
