Zachary at 4 months!

Here is our big boy at 4 months! He had his official check-up last Friday, and he weighed in at 15 lb. 15 oz. and is 26.75 inches long. He is already wearing size 9 month clothes! He has become extremely playful over the past month. He can entertain himself for a long time batting toys in his gym, bouncy seat or exersaucer. He also watches Alicia a lot now, and she loves his interaction. He laughs and squeals when he is happy and does that cute kick-the-legs and flap-the-arms dance. He wakes up happy most mornings talking to himself - when I say talk to himself I mean making a screeching pterodactyl noise - it is quite a strange noise he makes, but it is just him talking.

Milestones....
He is still not sleeping through the night. (Yaaawn!) After the Christmas excitement and traveling he really regressed and started waking up every 3-4 hours again. Now he is going 5-6 hours, but we still aren't back to where we were before Christmas. However, naps are slowly getting better. He sleeps 3 or 4 naps a day, and I typically can count on at least one, sometimes two naps that are at least 1.5 hours long. And lately he will actually sleep in the swing at times...

Z is not interested in rolling over at all. He will lay on his side to play with a toy, but doesn't want to roll on his tummy. When on his tummy, he cries after about a couple of minutes.

He can grasp rattles, shake them and stare at them. He also watches his hands moving.

He can find a TV in the room if he hears it - even if it means turning around in his exersaucer or turning his head 180 degrees when he is lying on his back. Sorry Z - you're too young for TV!

Likes & Dislikes
Things Z likes... Splashing in the bath, any toy that he can bat, mirrors, his Rainforest crib toy, peek-a-boo, colorful books, sucking our finger, being held

Things Z doesn't like... Tummy time - has a very passionate dislike to ever being placed on his tummy. A pig that sings "This little piggy" and Daddy doing his vocal warm ups - his bottom lip will begin quivering and he will start screaming in fear. (what a tender hearted fellow!) Pacifiers.
