Truluck Island

This summer Trey's family stayed at Truluck Island near Folly Beach from mid-August through September.  We stayed there the first two weeks and then went back every weekend.  It was nice to spend time with family and enjoy life on the water.  Having grandparents and aunts and uncles around to babysit was also another advantage for me!

Alicia with Zsa Zsa and Gramps!

My parents came down to Truluck Island Labor Day weekend.  Luckily no grandparent fights broke out as they all competed for time with Alicia (ha! ha!).  Here are Grandmama and Granddaddy splashing with Alicia!

Granddaddy and Gramps had fun hamming it up with the little one too!

My sister, Aunt Kimberly, was able to come down and spend a weekend too.  Unfortunately it got cut short by a tropical storm, but we still made the best of a quick weekend!

Warren and Jaim'e came down almost every weekend.  Here is Alicia bonding with them! Cousin McKinley is hiding in Jaim'e's tummy - we can't wait until she can come out and play!

Noticeably absent are any pictures of Aunt Sessay, Uncle Michael (Uncle "B" as Alicia calls him!) or Cody.  They were down at the island the entire time; however, they never ended up in any pictures.  I don't know how that happened!  Alicia and Cody became fast friends.  She loved to watch him, crawl after him, share his toys and even once his food - yuck!  Cody liked having someone small around and having food drop on the floor!!

Alicia LOVES watermelon.  We learned quickly that the best way to feed her watermelon was to strip her down and take her outside.  She makes quite a mess, but she enjoys every second of it!

Alicia doesn't really know who Clifford is yet, but she does know what he looks like.  She would go crazy kicking her legs and reaching for the swing when she saw him.  In these pics she had just eaten watermelon.  I promise that I do usually put clothes on her!
When we first went to the island in August, Alicia was just beginning to pull up with the aid of a chair, table, etc.  When she was placed the walker she would try to bounce in it like she does in the exersaucer at home.  However, she quickly learned to fly through the house in the walker.  She really enjoyed the taste of freedom that the walker gave her!

Alicia also enjoyed the many toys that Zsa Zsa would bring home!  One of her favorites is to push the buttons and occasionally put the ball into Pooh's honey pot.
Trey and I had fun too.  We went boating, jet skiing, kayaking and water skiing and also spent a lot of time playing games and cards with family.  It is truly a blessing to be able to enjoy such a place!
